General Rules
At Evans Matriculation Higher Secondary School, discipline is the foundation of learning. All students are expected to follow the school’s rules and regulations sincerely. These guidelines are designed to maintain order, ensure safety, and foster a positive environment for all.
- ✔️ Regular attendance is compulsory.
- ✔️ Irregular or unjustified absence justifies dismissal.
- ✔️ Students must not be kept away from school for celebrations like engagements or marriages.
- ✔️ Students suffering from infectious diseases must bring a fitness certificate from a doctor.
- ✔️ Absence for other reasons requires prior permission from the Principal.
- ✔️ Attendance on the first day after holidays is compulsory.
- ✔️ 90 % attendance is a must for promotion to the next class.
- ✔️ Movement in the corridors, staircases, and classrooms must be orderly and silent.
- ✔️ Queue up when moving for assembly, library, or laboratories.
- ✔️ Students should greet elders and teachers respectfully at all times.
- ✔️ Students must not leave the campus without prior permission from the Principal.
- ✔️ Students must wear the prescribed uniform and ID card daily with neatness and dignity.
- ✔️ Improper uniforms, untidy dressing, fancy hairstyles, or ornaments are strictly prohibited.
- ✔️ Birthdays can be celebrated in simple formal dress; cakes, sweets, or gifts are not allowed.
- ✔️ Care must be taken of all school property. Any damage will attract fines or disciplinary action.
- ✔️ Writing on walls, desks, or damaging school furniture is strictly forbidden.
- ✔️ Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, fireworks, chewing gum, or valuables (jewelry, expensive watches, etc.) must not be brought to school.
- ✔️ The use of tobacco, alcohol, or drugs is strictly prohibited and will lead to dismissal.
- ✔️ Unauthorized photography or videography inside the campus is not allowed.
- ✔️ Resorting to unfair means in examinations will lead to suspension or expulsion.
- ✔️ All homework and classwork must be completed neatly and on time.
- ✔️ Students must behave well in school buses. Any repeated misbehavior may result in withdrawal of bus facility.
- ✔️ Only bicycles are permitted for students up to Class X. Self-driving motorbikes or cars are strictly prohibited.
- ✔️ All students must wear only the prescribed uniform on all weekdays without any alterations.
- ✔️ Uniforms should always be clean.
- ✔️ Colour dress is allowed only on birthdays or on special occasions announced by the school.
- ✔️ Parents are requested to ensure their children are neatly dressed.
- ✔️ Improperly dressed students will not be permitted to attend school.
- ✔️ Students must leave the school immediately after classes unless attending extra or remedial sessions.
- ✔️ Shouting, playing, or rough behavior inside school buildings is not allowed.
- ✔️ Students should avoid quarrels, maintain harmony, and promote the values of brotherhood and service.
By following these safety measures, we ensure that every child’s journey to and from school is safe, secure, and disciplined.
