Evans is a co-educational institution established on 6th June
1997 with 72 students up to class IV by Dr. V. P. Moni, an
educationist and a man with vision and foresight. His aim was
to mould and shape the life of students to become the
celebrity stars of our nation in all means. It is now
strategically situated in a picturesque and eco-friendly
environment for learning in N.G.O Colony, Nagercoil, on three
acres of land, with the motto “YEARN LEARN EARN” for lifelong
learning.
Conceived in a spirit of patriotic and dedicated service in
the cause of education, the school imparts sound education to
pupils so as to establish a well-disciplined and God-fearing
community. The utmost importance is given to providing the
best and quality education — to fashion well-integrity,
technical creativity and academic success. It is a very
special learning temple with a strategic role to play in
caring for and educating every child in the most wholesome and
effective way.
By the abundant blessings of God, the institution reached the
High School level in 2003-04 and the first batch appeared for
the Public Exam and attained centum results. By the constant
effort and aspiration of the management and faculty, the
school was upgraded to Std XII in 2008-09, and the first
Higher Secondary batch came out with flying colours.

The seeds of Evans Matriculation Higher Secondary School were
sown in 1997 by an eminent educationist, Dr. V. P. Moni, with
